Description
This course will address the accepted guidelines for professional writing. Emphases are on sentence structure, formatting standards, clear & concise presentation, and paragraph coherency.

Air Quality specific technical reports or grant writing particulars will not be addressed during this course.
Who Should Attend
Anyone that does technical or report writing.
Leaning Objectives
The upon completion students will understand:
• Active & passive voice sentence structure, including modifying clauses, auxiliary verbs & past participles
• formatting standards, including proper page construction
• Clear & concise sentence structure
• Proper use of transitional words
• Subject?verb agreement, including collective nouns
• First & second personal pronouns and antecedents
• Tracking References
Pre-Requisites
Microsoft Word Basics
Classroom Requirements
Must be held in a computer lab or the agency must supply laptops.
