    Who Should Attend
    This is a foundational-level course intended for new hires within state, local, and tribal air agencies. After completion of this course, learners will be able to describe the types of air pollutants that are harmful to human health and/or the environment.
    Leaning Objectives
    Explain the term “criteria pollutants” under the Clean Air Act, and
    Describe each of the six criteria pollutants
    Explain the term air toxics.
    Explain the characteristics of air toxics.
    Explain what the hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) list is under the Clean Air Act.
    Explain how the HAPs list is revised under the Clean Air Act.
    Identify the four main greenhouse gases,
    Explain why greenhouse gases are a concern,
    List the factors that affect the potency of greenhouse gases,
    List the sources of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated compounds, and
    List the properties of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated compounds.
